Why we did it
Zapier had been around for over a decade, but we'd never had a clear story or way that we talk about our brand. They'd found early success and remained the automation leader for many years, but had never intentionally branded. As a maturing company that wanted to scale, it was time.
Our Creative Director said it best:
"People internally describe it 50 different ways, and those who use it don't know how to describe it to their friends. We wanted to make it simple, so it's easy to share and to be able to speak with the same voice."
The goals of the rebrand were to build our brand, communicate automation awareness and put Zapier at the center of it, and shift perception toward an expansive vision of how automation will change how businesses run.
